SITUATION
Report 1998
- The olive waste water samples were processed in Florence for extraction and
identification and characterization of phenols.
Fraction and pure compounds for the assessment of biological activities in vitro were
collected
- The design of extraction process has been developed by University of Bologna
Report 1997
- After the selection period to define the varieties of olives to collect, Tecnoalimenti
had to study the best sampling method since collection from the tree until delivery to
University of Florence, where the olives should have been processed.
- The partners involved in collection of olives were supplied with a thermocontainer with
subcontainers and ice pack included.
- The olive and olive waste water collection started in November according the sampling
program worked out by Tecnoalimenti
- The thermo-container with olive samples were shipped to Milan and forwarded to Florence.
